Pharma city to come up in Telengana
The Telengana Government is trying to set up a ‘Pharma City’ near the state capital on the span of 8,000 acres. The city that has been proposed to be built will have industries, a residential colony and a power plant with 500 MW capacity will be constructed beside the city which will provide the city dedicated and uninterrupted power supply to the industry. The aforesaid was stated in the press release from the chief minister’s office yesterday.
The needed land, infrastructure facilities, communication facility, power supply and water supply will be provided by the government for the project. The pharma city is said to accommodate around five lakh employees apart from the families in the residential colony touching around twenty lakh in a period. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has confirmed the aforesaid.
The CM has suggested to one of the Drugs Manufacturer’s Association that an international consultancy who is expert in building industrial estates will be contacted to make the design of the pharma city. The association has also requested the CM too create a department for the subject of pharma. The CM has agreed to the suggestion. The Telegana government is looking forward to the ‘Pharma City’.
