Plans are set to make Hyderabad a sophisticated city
There are several important plans being made recently by different departments in order to make Hyderabad a sophisticated and developed city. In order to establish better civic infrastructure, plans are currently being made by the GHMC, HMWS&SB and the HDMA.
There was a meeting arranged with the chiefs of the GHMC, HMWS&SB and HDMA on Monday with the Municipal Administration and Urban Development. This was done specifically to deal with the blueprints and prepare them. Since the agenda of the meeting had a connection with the Information Technology Investment Region, Information Technology and Communication, the secretary Harpreet Singh was also invited.
The Chief Minister of Telengana K Chandrashekhar Rao has off late directed the officials of Municipal Administration and Urban Development to come up with plans for the city that are both short term and long term.
The GHMC will lay special emphasis on infrastructure, protection of 168 lakes, the drainage system and low lying areas which are within and outside the full tank level of the lakes. According to the GHMC commissioner named Somesh Kumar, the corporation has come to a decision that it will work towards making Hyderabad a city that is free from slums apart from the improving civic infrastructure.
