Pune- The civic body gave conditional agree towards state government’s proposal to bring 28 merged small towns under the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) limitations.
The new go ahead can boost the geographical area to more than 450 sq km from the present 243. 84 sq km. The administration commanded 19 TMC drinking water quota along with 100% help to build infrastructure inside merged locations.
Before combining the villages the state government should allocate an annual water quota of 18.94 TMC. This will help the population to cater to the particular water needs. In addition, the state government needs to offer 100% benefit to the civic body to develop standard structure.
The PMC would need to produce roads, health, sewage cure projects, education infrastructure, drinking water present collections and many others in the merged villages mainly because it would not be possible without the state guidance.
The proposal is expected to discuss by next week after which it will be forwarded to the state government. After the original support of combination proposal, political party in PMC now want to re-examine the concept
