PMO refuses to provide info on Vadra-DLF case

No Comments Sub Category:Realty News Posted On: Apr 08, 2014

PMO has denied information on the deal saying that it is it is third party information provided in fiduciary capacity and using RTI Act for the information is abuse of the act. The information was sought by Lucknow-based RTI activist Nutan Thakur, on February 6 last year. It was sought in relation to her complaint and Writ Petition filed in Allahabad High Court about Vadra-DLF deal. She sent her appeal to the Central Information Commission (CIC) as PMO consistently denied the information. The PMO, in turn, directed PMO to present its written submission. The PMO has, through a letter dated April 3, 2014 and signed by S E Rizwi, deputy Secretary of the PMO, refused to provide the information.
