Police personnel get housing schemes in TN
In a recent launch by the Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in Tamil Nadu, a housing scheme for police personnel has been initiated as a part of the government’s resolve to cater comfortable dwelling units for the uniformed personnel.
The foundation stone for the construction of about 2,673 multi-storeyed dwelling units under the first phase of “Own Your House” scheme was layed by Jayalalithaa.
These projects will be located in Melakottaiyoor in Kancheepuram district. The CM also assured that the scheme will provide dwelling to each and every police personnel irrespective of their active service or retirement.
Out of 1,12,363 police personnel in Tamil Nadu, around 50,424 were provided with housing facilities with the rest under construction.
