Politics blamed for power cuts

1 Comment Sub Category:Other cities Posted On: Oct 08, 2012

Over the last few days, areas such as Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad have been witnessing massive power cuts which has in turn dazed the confidence of residents in the state government.

Despite the claims made by the power corporation that the problem is being solved, there has been outages for several hours in the three cities.

Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has attributed many factors for the cuts including a sudden dip in generation at power plants to lack of funds to buy electricity from other sources and also said improper transmission infrastructure.

However, the residents have alleged that the cause for the non-availability of power in these three cities is due to political reasons rather than technical reasons.
