Primarc invests 300 crin Bengal real estates
Nearly 300 crore has been invested in real estate projects in the State by Primarc Group, which runs the ‘Crossword’ franchisee in West Bengal.
At least six projects across the IT-township of Sector V in Salt Lake Kolkata are already under various stages of construction in proper and other fringe areas and suburbs like Birati and Chandannaore.
The Kolkata-based group is also the master franchisee for Raymond in the Eastern region, apart from Crossword. It also has concern in the real estate sector.
Around 1,600-1,700 new residential units will be added through these projects over the next 5-6 years, according to Sidharth Pansari, Director, Primarc Group. Among the ongoing projects, the one in Salt Lake is for commercial usage.
He said, “Except a super premium project (Astitva) in Kolkata, other residential projects would be in the mid-to-high range.”
The carpet area for most of the mid-to-high range apartments will be 600- 800 sq ft and fall under the price bracket of 25 -35 lakh. These would mainly be two- and three-bedroom homes.
The apartments under super-premium project measures between 1600-3500 sq ft, and price starting from one crore.
Astitva has been given a green building certification and has been planned to ensure less power consumption, reuse waste water and rain-water harvesting, according to Pansari.
Primarc has tied up with e-commerce major Amazon.in, in the retail sphere. Though its retail arm Primarc Pecan Retail Ltd, it retails toys and kids accessories.
In India, Amazon operates under a market-place model where goods a kept in Amazon warehouses and order completion is done by the e-commerce players. E-commerce player and the retailer share the revenue.
Pansari added, “We would look to introduce healthcare offerings through Amazon soon.”
