Private Equity investment in real estate drops by 15%: Q&W
Property advisory firm Cushman & Wakefield says that private equity investments in the Indian real estate sector have seen a drop of 15 per cent in the first three quarters of calendar year 2012, compared to a year ago.
FY2012 has so far witnessed investments of around Rs 3,500 crore across residential and commercial property segments. The amount stood at Rs 4,110 crore in the same period last year.
Q&W sources say that fall in deals is due to concerns over government policy coupled with uncertain investment scenario. However, it is expected to rise in next few months as policy reforms have been declared.
