Project work in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Colony still ongoing
The waiting of allottees of 114 residential plots in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Colony developed by the Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT) on the Pakhowal road here seems to be unending. Thanks to unfulfilled political promises and bureaucratic red tape, even after almost two years of holding the draw of lots for allotment of plots to the eligible applicants, the LIT authorities have failed to issue allotment letters or hand over the plots to the allottees.
After having no positive response from the quarters concerned with regards to the possession of residential plots of 125 square yards each, a delegation of the allottees placed their case before Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal at his Sangat Darshan in Chandigarh on Wednesday.
The work on this residential plot is being delayed due to some kind of outward influences that are working against it. However the authorities are trying hard to do away with it. This work has been going on since a long time. Around 114 people are waiting for this project to get completed as they have already been allotted.
