Property registration in Gurgaon will be costlier
The Haryana Government is planning to increase the property registration rates for the financial year 2012-13. The expected hike in the property registration rate may be around 15%.
The rate of registration cost for the properties in Gurgaon has witnessed several hikes in last one year.
20-33% hike in registration cost was announced by the government on March 2010, which was again increased by 100% on September 30th, 2010.
In March 2011 the registration cost again increased by 20 to 30 percent.
According to the official of registration department, this hike is a part of routine revisal of property registration price.
There are mixed reaction among the builders. They feel this decision will affect the sale of properties in Gurgaon. As the cost of the properties has already been increased, the buyers have to pay more for registering their properties.
