Property tax on Chandigarh residences soon
Soon, the residential spaces will be imposed with property tax in Chandigarh.
After the city municipal elections, UT administration has given direction to the municipal corporation on the imposition of the same.
Earlier itself, the civic body was told to implement the property tax structure.
However, it was not implemented as the city polls were approaching and the launch of the scheme could stand unpopular.
Now, the matter has been taken seriously as it would affect the financial grant by the Government to the civic body.
