Pune faces water shortage
Finally the plan for installing water meter is being worked out. The scarcity of drinking water has become a serious issue in most cities across the state.
People are literally struggling for each drop of water releasing from reservoirs to the areas facing water scarcity problem.
Recently the city has faced water crisis on account of bad monsoon, so the government has come to a conclusion to limit the supply of water to overcome the problem. The water situation is more worse in Marathawada where Jayakwadi, a major dam had only 3% of its water capacity left.
Prithviraj Chavan, chief minister said that they may have to shut down the Parali plant because of water crisis.
