Pune on high alert Protecting Environment

Prithviraj Chavan, in Pune reported saying that his state do not have a proper trace as to which kind of land is being acquired by the slum areas and also he said that, the hilly areas should never come under the survival of slum dwellers as those are the only environment filled places in the city. Also recently the government had approved 4 percent construction in the bio-diversity parks (BDPs) and these decisions were in the concern to protect the hilly areas in Pune or Mumbai.

The minister is concerned with the environment being destroyed in near future. Henceforth, the union government has appointed a committee to have a thorough check on the environmental issues happening in the city. Also complete power has been given to the committee members and if the situation demands, the clearance of such lands can be granted immediately. Ministers are on a high alert, to protect the environment and also bring in justice to the private land owners and also slum dwellers.
