No Comments Sub Category:Realty News Posted On: Jul 03, 2014

With the Raipur district administration having planned out an ambitious and crucial project for easing traffic system and curbing road accidents, the city is apparently on the verge of getting a major infrastructure facelift.

The infrastructure facelift for Raipur is part of the district administration’s ambitious traffic-related project. The proposed infrastructure-related development works planned for the city for the near future include new flyovers, foot-over bridges, bus stands, parking lots, as well as a transport colony.

The Raipur district administration has meticulously worked out short-term and long-term working plans for National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), the Public Works Department (PWD), and the Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC).

In the short-term tasks, the NHAI will develop bus way and bus stoppage, close illegal gap ways, and increase the height of railings on National Highway (NH)-53, among others. In long-term, the agency will build a flyover bridge at Ring Road 1 on NH-53, and broaden NH30 and Ring Road 3 junction near Dhaneli nullah on Raipur-Bilaspur Road.

The PWD’s short-term tasks include repair of all the dilapidated roads in Raipur, and installation of delineators at the squares/tri-sections and alongside the roads; while its long-term tasks include developing of flyovers at four different locations.

Finally, the RMC will, in short-term tasks, remove encroachments and close unauthorised gap-ways from the main roads; and, in long-term, it will develop ten parking lots, four new bus stands, and five foot-over bridges, among other tasks.
