Ranchi Police arrested two real estate builders
Two builders of Maurya Constructions and Developers Pvt Ltd accused of cheating the buyers around Rs 60 lakh were arrested from Doranda locality.
The police took the action against a case filed by the people who bought flats from the builder.
In the petition, the flats owners complained that the builders had threatened them of dire consequences when they insisted on getting their flats registered.
Though the builder had an agreement with the complainants in this regard at the time of the sale of flats but was refusing to get the flats registered in the name of the complainants.
The complainants had purchased flats in Ranchi for Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh at Shradha Enclave in Doranda.
According to the authority, the builders have also violated the norms of the Ranchi Industrial Area Development Authority. The map which was approved by RIADA had two floors but a four-storey building has been constructed.
