Now that the elections are over, property deals have once again begun at Lutyens Delhi. The co founder of Indiabulls Group Rajiv Rattan has decided to buy himself a bungalow costing rupees 220 crore in the Lutyens Bungalow Zone on Amrita Shergill Marg.

Two people who have been working on this deal have mentioned that within a month the transactions will be completed and Ratan will be taking a loan in order to buy this bungalow. At the moment the property belongs to Veena Kumar who lives right near the area where the property is going to be sold.

Ratan who is 40 years old visited this place a couple of times with his wife since the talks began with the owner a year ago. According to a few sources he wanted the property to be converted to free hold before he could buy it. Ratan’s neighbours include Hari S Bhartia of the Jubilant group, IK Gujral’s son Naresh Gujral and real estate developer Kabul Chawla.

There have been large transactions over the last decade at Lutyens Delhi. Some of the notable houses here would be the bungalow on Man Singh Road costing 150 crore bought by Naveen Jindal and another house bought on Amrita Shergill Marg costing 137 crore bought by Sanjay Singhal of Bhushan Steel.
