Real estate along NH3 receives notable impetus from infrastructural growth
With the real estate market having received a notable impetus from infrastructure growth all over India, developers who have projects coming up close to National Highway 3 (NH3) are optimistic of an imminent rise in realty prices in the near future.
Of late, Thane and adjoining areas have developed fairly rapidly, thanks to the increased accessibility of these areas to south and central Mumbai via the widened eastern express highway and the construction of several flyovers on this stretch.
In addition, significant transformation is on apparently on the cards in the areas along the NH3, which has been widened into a four-lane highway.
Drawing attention to the fact that the construction of Mumbai-Pune expressway has triggered an increase in real estate prices in these areas, Venkatesh Gopalkrishnan – EVP and CIO at Shapoorji Pallonji – said that the rapid development of NH3 is bound to have a positive repercussion on realty prices in areas beyond Thane.
In more specific terms, Gopalkrishnan said: “Areas such as Vasind, Asangaon and further up to Shahapur, are certainly poised to benefit from the connectivity NH3 will offer.”
Expressing a similar opinion, and predicting that the NH3 will give a sure-shot boost to real estate sector in central suburbs, Sheth Creators’ director of marketing, Hiral Sheth, said real estate market in areas adjacent to NH3 – including locations Kalyan, Dombivali, Ambernath, Badlapur – is likely see significant growth in the next few years.
