Real estate firm DLF ends contract with IPL
The country’s largest real estate firm DLF has decided to end its five-year long association with the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The title sponsor of IPL did not renew its contract that was due by last month.
DLF sources said that the company will promote other sports and is currently exploring various such platforms for association. The IPL sponsorship was a part of very aggressive in pan-India marketing of DLF.
The company sources state that it has been able to achieve significant reach, brand recall and presence across the country through the sponsorship. DLF is now reportedly concentrating on those cities, where the company’s core strength lies.
