Real estate mafia Targets BDA Plots
The retired director of National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Dr M Narayana Rao, is shocked to know from his neighbour in HBR Layout that a leading real estate agent has sold his property after taking some advance payment and claimed they had all the documents.
Narayana Rao who lives in Hyderabad, was allotted a site by the BDA in HBR Layout 2nd Block in 2000 when he was working in Bangalore. Recently his neighbour in HBR Layout, who contacted him over the phone, said two persons, Ramesh and Lawrence, from Star Real Estates came with a client to show Narayana Rao’s plot and measured it on December 21, 2010. When the neighbour enquired, they said the owner had sold it to Star Real Estates. Again on December 24, the neighbour reportedly informed Rao that a different property dealer came with a client.Rao also received a phone call from a woman who asked him for the contact number of a real estate agent. Rao then learnt his site was up for sale on a website.
Rao suspected the real estate mafia was trying to grab his land and registered a case. In a case registered with Hennur police station, Narayana Rao registered complaint accusing some real estate agents of conspiracy to sell his Bangalore development Authority (BDA) plot.
When Rao’s son-in-law, who lives in Bangalore, went to Star Real Estates office near HBR Layout in BDA complex, Ramesh and Lawrence said Rao had sold the site after taking some advance payment and claimed they had all the documents.The neighbour reportedly informed Rao that a different property dealer came with a client for his BDA plot in HBR Layout.
