Realtors make preparations for senior citizens
In the upcoming few years, there are going to be quite a number of projects for all senior citizens. While the current players are still hoping for some expansion, the real estate players have started to show eagerness towards this segment.
In a recent survey conducted by the Census of India, it was understood that possibilities of increment are high. By the year 2050, there is definitely going to be around an increase of 19.75% of senior citizens within the country.
There are currently three projects being carried out in Bhiwadi, Jaipur and Lavasa. Found in the sector of Ashiana Housing, this is where the private entities are found.
Brotin Banerjee who happens to be the MD and CEO of the Tata Housing Development Company has mentioned that the Tata Company has been making plans in order to build more than 2000 retire homes and that the projects which have been launched recently will become a valuable segment of the townships located around the cities of Kolkata, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Chennai and National Capital Region are also included in this.
Assotech Realty which has its bases in NCR has also been making plans to come up with a new project that would take up about 2.5-3 acres. At the moment, preparations are being made and sites are being selected and they are hoping to invest large chunks of money into this project. About 150-200 houses should be established according to them.
