Residents of apartments in Marathalli are facing Civic issues
Marathalli was a small village on the outskirts of Bangalore. Recently the area has emerged as a colony for a sizable IT population of Bangalore. Property market of Bangalore saw a rapid growth in Marathalli.
Several high rising luxurious apartments are present in Marathalli. Recently the residents of the apartments in Marathalli are facing many civic issues. The major concerns for the residents of the area are drinking water problems and frequent power cut.
Major apartments present in this area are Purva Riviera, Rohan Vasantha and Purva Fountain Square. The Munnekolala Lake is another concern for the residents of Marathalli as it is declared as polluted by BBMP.
As there is almost no supply of Cauvery water in the area the residents are forced to depend on bore well water. But the water table in the bore wells too is depleting at a fast rate. Bore well motors do not function whenever there is power failure, resulting water shortage in the area.
Residents of those apartments are bound to buy tanker water spending huge amount of money.
According to the residents, security is another concern for them. There is no street light amount those apartment complexes.
