Residents of Jaipur will be troubled in Monsoon

Drain constructionAs the Jaipur Development Authority is unable to start construction of the drainage system before the monsoon begins, water logging threat looms over city roads of Jaipur.

According to a official, the JDA engineering wing has recently received approval for constructing proper drainage system on major city roads.

However, as the tender process is delayed the authority will not be able to start the work before monsoon.

A JDA source said that recently, nearly Rs 8.5 crore have been sanctioned to construct new drainage lines from Chinkara canteen to Collectorate circle, Collectorate circle to Khasa Kothi and from Panipech to Chandpole.

However, tenders have not been invited till date. As a result the residents of various houses and apartments in Jaipur are worried about the situation during the coming monsoon.
