Residents of Motia Heights held protest against the builders
Scores of the residents of the Motia Heights, Dhakoli including that of women and elderly people had held a protest in front of the housing society last day against the builders for not giving them the facilities that they have been promised off.
The protest was being led by Rajinder Singh Sawhney, the president of Motia Heights Residents Welfare Association, Dhakoli and fifty other residents presented a dharna and accused the builders for not providing them the basic civic amenities that they had promised them. Presently the Motia Heights have 156 flats. As many as 130 families have been permanently staying in the multi-storey building since the past three years.
Presenting placards and banners, the protestors also raised slogans against the construction company. The protestors have been demanding the completion certificate from GMADA, blue prints of the society, upgrade of the existing sewage treatment plant, additional bore well in order to meet the water requirements, electricity generators for the power requirement and new electricity cables that could be carried by the adequate electric load and repair of water supply pipes. These basic and amenities need to be provided as that had been promised by the construction house.
