Road projects worth Rs 66.68 crore approved by the Urban Development Ministry
Road and drain projects worth Rs 66.68 crore for Hojai and Lanka in Assam have been approved by the Union Ministry of Urban Development under the Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme for Small and Medium Town (UIDSSMT).
Union Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath informed this to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi in a letter. The Union Minister had asked the Department of Expenditure, union Ministry of Finance to release the funds to the Assam Government for the projects.
Rs 37.74 crore and Rs 28.93 crore have been approved as the project cost for roads and drains for Hojai and Lanka respectively.
