Robert Vadra organisation resold affordable land and earns huge profits
It could end up embarrassing the congress party that the company in which Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra has shares earns huge profit from purchasing land at minimum prices and selling these at high rates.
After BJP MP from Bikaner Arjun Meghwal demanded investigation of the irregularities committed in the land deals, the Rajasthan government has ordered an investigation.
Ms. Arti Dogra, District magistrate, says that five companies purchased 633 hectares of land and all the transactions were done during the period of Ashok Gehlot as chief minister.
The five companies named in the report are Sky Light Realty, North India IT Park, Blue Breeze Trading, Real Earth Estates and Sky Light Hospitality. All these companies purchased 633 hectares of land in Bikaner and after some time sold 284 hectares and collect huge profit.
Mr. Meghwal says that they feel that the actual purchase of land is much more than 633 hectares. All these purchase breach the land selling act. They will request the state government to focus in to the transaction of those companies where Robert Vadra is a share holder.
The land deal of Vadra came in to debate as he was the first to purchase plots in parched deserts of Bikaner. After some time government marked a deal with a private company to establish a silicon plant and decided to develop the area as solar hub. The BJP MLA blamed that Vadra sold these land to companies which wanted to establish solar plants in the area.
The announcement of investigation is heat up the political environment of state. The BJP is ready to attack Congress over this issue while one of the ministers in Gehlot government maintained that there was no illegal act in the deal.
