The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has come forward to favor its residents in Delhi in concern with recent hike in property tax has decided to take alternative measures to pull down the property tax payments. However the confusion prevailing is that the property tax payment is entirely different in comparison between the rural belts and the main city in Delhi. Henceforth the MCD officials are not contended with varying payment rates fixed by the state government and this has brought down the feeling of mis-management laid from the state government.

The MCD wing has decided to work at three different parts around the city and the fact given out by these officials is that the development of the individual areas will all depend on the revenue collected from them. Jagdish Mamgain the chairman of MCD works committee reported saying that till date they were spending money equally on all the areas irrespective of rural or urban, this has also laid back the salaries and promotions of their committee officials. Nearly Rs. 558 lakh of revenue was collected last financial year. The officials are in favor of the government expecting the residents to pay the tax on time and also on par of the residents in reducing burden from paying excess payment.
