Sensex soars over 100 points – Realty stocks up
The Sensex climbed over 100 points in early trade on Monday.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee have planned to soon unveil measures to improve market conditions.
The Nifty touched a high of 5,188.95 and a low of 5,158.45 today while the Sensex touched a high of 17,116.67 and a low of 17,023.06.
The BSE Midcap Index was up 0.07 percent and the BSE Smallcap Index moved 0.89 percent higher.
The BSE consumer durable index was up 76.43 points, the realty index was up 18.10 points and the banking index was up 123.41 points. The BSE Realty Index has moved 1.35 percent higher.
