SEZs should be get a rapid growth
To meet the Global competitiveness and boost the export growth along with meeting challenges in India’s fast growing economy, the government should also encourage Special Economic Zones for certain sectors as the Industrial body Assocham stated.
Special Economic Zones have to be built in order to promote the fast and organised growth and also development of industries that will not only provide big opportunities for employment but also motivate the production of quality goods at a very low cost with the ability to meet the competition in international trade.
The Association Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham), Secretary General, D S Rawat stated that in order to fasten the export growth all Export Processing Zones and SSI units will be exempted from the provisions of the Industrial Disputes Act. The EPZ may however be subjected to the basic labour law like the Payment of Wages protection of the several employees who work there. The government bodies and industrial authorities are expecting a fast growth in the SEZs so that India can meet the Global competitiveness. The export growth should also fasten in order to meet all the needs.
