Short circuit at BMC HQ
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has asked its maintenance officials to inspect the entire wirings at BMC Head Quarters after two short circuit incidents happened in the last week and also asked to provide a report within a week.
According to officials from the maintenance department, two small fire incidents were reported in the mid of November. Both the incidents were minor and was brought under control by officials then an there.
An official from the maintenance department said that due to the carelessness of the contractor in charge of renovating the building the fire broke out on the 5th floor. The halogen was kept on by the contractor and used a low gaze wire for lighting it.
