No Comments Sub Category:Realty News Posted On: Jul 30, 2014

The new government has proposed the formation of 100 smart cities in the country, of which real estate professionals will play a huge role by constructing suggestions that will help frame policies for these cities. Chairman and Managing Director of Prithvi Edifice, Abhay Kele is pleased with the fact that a positive stir has been created in the real estate world because of this, and suggestions are currently being sent to the government.

Architects believe that innovation and creative design are two essential elements required to develop a smart city. Srinivas Ammanabrolu, vice president of Living Walls has expressed how the real estate sector is no longer unorganized and fragmented, but is undergoing a process involving an influx of advanced, better quality foreign materials in cities like Delhi, Bangalore, and Mumbai. Ammanabrolu has given examples of appropriate technologies such as, the use of modular formwork, Austrian technology for bricks, and to use more gypsum plaster in construction.

Appointing international architects is becoming a new trend for Indian developers, as this further propels the real estate world by enhancing it with functional and more valuable design.

Vikas Arora, director of marketing and sales at Runwal Group, feels that technology must be applied to difficult situations such as the restructuring of the entire South Mumbai, which requires a lot of redevelopment and innovation.

The massive housing development, and urban redevelopment calls for a multitude of new creative methods for real estate processes, according to architects. However, some developers still feel the need to stick to their old methods of development that does not implement many changes.
