Society protests against demolition notice in Navi Mumbai
In a case involving residents caught between the civic body and the builder, the residents of Green Heritage society at Kharghar in Navi Mumbai were in shock as portion of their society has been ordered to be demolished by the civic authorities.
The authorities have issued notice to vacate the premises to facilitate the demolition on the ground that every flat has taken up between 100 and 150 sq. ft. more than the permitted FSI, while every shop has used up more than 200 sq. ft. extra.
The residents react vehemently to the notice and state that the authorities should be blaming the builder and they are being put through traumatic situation in an unfair manner.
