Solapur Tolway project of 100 km to come up
Solapur Tollways’ 100-km road project, which includes four planning of Solapur Maharashtra/Karnataka border section of national highway nine in Maharashtra, for which the concession agreement (CA) with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) was signed a couple of years back, has now finally got off the ground.
The road is being designed, built, financed and would be operated by Solapur Tollways, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) promoted by Kolkata-headquartered Srei Infrastructure Finance. The project had been awarded to Srei Infrastructure under the national highways development project (NHDP) phase III under BOT mode on design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis. The concession period for the project is 25 years.
The road work will take time before it starts of. It is a long project and will be going on for a long duration of time. It has yet not been stated as how much time would be taken before the work starts off but it might commence within the upcoming year. Some other required permission also needs to be taken before the work takes a start. The road project will help in enhancing the connectivity.
