Solar power generation becomes compulsory for Haryana’s houses and malls
The government of Haryana has come to a conclusion recently that it will use an energy conservation action plan. Under this, the solar power generation will be made compulsory in the different types of areas and buildings (including malls) along with an enforcement mechanism which is appropriate enough.
Bhupender Singh Hooda, the Chief Minister of Haryana, had once mentioned in a release that this plan will lead up to a generation consisting of an annual saving of large sums of money on coal, 200 MW of power and water which goes up to 16.60 lakh kilos.
Coming to the matter of residential buildings which cover 500 square yards and are within the limits of the MCs and HUDA sectors, the necessary installation of the solar power plants which is about to be installed will be of about one or 5% of the connection load. It all depends on whichever one is higher.
A State Level Monitoring Committee shall be established in order to handle and check the implementation of these measures based on energy conservation. He also mentioned that there is enough potential expected from the renewable sources of energy for the generation of power. This particularly includes solar energy.
