South City Residents up ante against Developer
South City 1 Gurgaon residents are up in arms against their developer. The residents will stage a demonstration against their developer Unitech. The EWS association is supporting the South City 1 Residents Welfare Association in its fight for their rights on April 30.
The residents of posh township are up in arms against their developer, for showing lack of interest in repair of basic amenities, such as roads and sewer lines. The residents of South City 1 will stage a demonstration on April 30 against their developer Unitech.
“The sewer line overflows invariably, which is then boosted into the main sewer line by the workers. It is a big nuisance as every second day the sewer overflows onto the road,” Rakesh Sharma, secretary EWS Association, South City 1 said.
South City 1 is a luxurious and attractive residential township by Unitech Group. The township is approx. 15 Kms from IGI Airport and 10 Kms from Railway Station. South City 1 is lacking in its basics. The major issue for the residents is the increase in maintenance charges from Re 1 to Rs 2.50. The developer showing lack of interest in repair of basic amenities, such as roads and sewer lines. The residents refuse to pay extra for those amenities which are not provided to them.
The EWS association is supporting the South City 1 Residents Welfare Association in its fight for their rights on April 30. The residents have been travelling on non-motorable roads for the past decade. The roads have not been levelled after the pipeline work was done. The sewage pipeline was laid for which the roads were dug. After the completion of the work the roads were not levelled properly causing difficulty to the commuters.
