No Comments Sub Category:Realty News Posted On: Aug 11, 2014

The number of women who is opting out of the workforce drops by 50 percent between the ages of 25-35 years and precipitously after that but does not go much higher than 25 percent at any other point as state by Manish Shah who is the co-founder and CEO, Big decisions.

He said they have literally stumbled on this fact of a sharp drop in double income households in India, whilst researching how people take their financial decisions, in areas like life insurance, retirement planning and real estate decision making.

Of the 60,000 records used for the report, 15,000 valid records were identified as complete and useful for the purpose of this report he said. He said that there is a sharp drop in the percentage of double income families after the main wage earner, male in case of our visitor turns 35, indicating thereby that a large number of women have stopped working post the age of 35.

This mostly happens because a lot of responsibilities fall on the women in family. But for women empowerment it is really necessary to improve this ratio so that the drop out percentage lessens.
