Sumit Jain talks about CommonFloor’s first acquisition – Flat.to
In a recent interview with StartupCentral, CommonFloor CEO Sumit Jain talked about Flat.to — the property listings platform which CommonFloor acquired last week. Flat.to is a property listings platform which focuses primarily on students and single professionals; and its acquisition marks the first takeover for the 2007-founded CommonFloor.
With CommonFloor – co-founded by Sumit Jain, Lalit Mangal and Vikas Malpani – being a real estate search and listings platform operated by Bangalore-based maxHeap Technologies, Jain said that the acquisition will provide Flat.to the requisite funds for growth. Jain, who has known Flat.to founder Gaurav Munjal for some time, said that the acquisition move would be beneficial for both CommonFloor and Flat.to.
About CommonFloor’s post-acquisition plans for Flat.to, Jain asserted that Flat.to will continue its operations as an independent entity. With innovations at Flat.to to continue even after acquisition, Jain said that the integration with CommonFloor will help Flat.to benefit from the centralized, collective resources, like finance and HR.
