Tata Housing set to develop 100 mn sq ft by 2017

TATA HousingTata Housing Development Company Limited, a renowned real estate company in India, has planned to develop 100 million sq ft of space in various cities across India by 2017.

According to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tata Housing, currently around 55-60 million sq ft is under various stages of planning and execution. These housing projects are taken up in cities like Bangalore, Delhi NCR, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Bhubaneshwar, Ahmedabad etc.

The company recently entered Odisha market by launching its first integrated residential complex “Ariana” in Bhubaneswar. This residential project is jointly developed in association with the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA).

Smart Value Homes Ltd (subsidiary of Tata Housing) and Arvind Real Estate are jointly developing an affordable housing project named “New Haven Compact” in Ahmedabad. The company is also exploring opportunities for developing affordable housing projects in eastern India.

Established in 2010, Smart Value Homes Ltd (SVHL) was exclusively launched to serve the demand of low-cost and affordable housing segment. The infrastructural growth in various cities has induced the company to launch projects. Currently, around 20,000 housing units are under construction under SVHL.

The subsidy is also ready to start projects which are spread over 50-60 acres of land in the outskirts of cities like Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal.

The company has also developed residential project in Maldives. Now, the company is planning to develop properties in Sri Lanka and other foreign markets.
