Technical hitch delays property registration in Chembur office
Since the property registration process went online in July, people visiting the sub-registrar office at Chembur (East) are facing delays to get their documents registered.
An average of 50 registrations used to take place at the office before the process went online. Lately, the number of registrations that take place is 30 or it is as low as 15 or 10, said a real estate agent from Chembur.
Not only this, instead of 10am the work starts at 11.30am and as a single sub-registrar office covers all the areas, a delay is inevitable. Due to the system slow down, people are also forced to accompany a real estate agent having a tie-up with the officers.
The majority of the land or property related registrations from Kurla to Mulund take place at the Chembur office.
