Telangana govt to explore feasibility of elevated expressway link from Hyderabad to Ramagundam
It appears to be quite likely that the feasibility of building elevated expressway link between Hyderabad and Ramagundam on the Rajiv Rahadari may be explored by the Telangana Government.
The possibility of the Telangana Government exploring the feasibility of the mentioned elevated expressway link has surfaced after a recent review meeting of the Road and Buildings Department.
The officials of the department have been instructed by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to evaluate whether the construction of the elevated expressway link would be a feasible proposition; and also to assess whether the task can be taken up.
Rao wants that the officials of the Road and Buildings Department should prepare a master plan on all proposed elevated express highway flyovers in Telangana. The master plan should be prepared on the lines of the PV Narasimha Rao Expressway in the State capital.
Specifically, Rao wanted that the officials of the Road and Buildings Department should look into the possibility of laying another ring road, just as the Outer Ring Road has been laid within a radius of 60 km of the State capital.
In addition, Rao also wanted the officials to examine whether it would be possible to promote satellite townships and mass transportation systems for Nalgonda and Mahbubnagar districts, in an evident effort to reduce the effect of high density of population in the State capital.
