Thane: Affordable real estate market in Mumbai
Thane: With the increase in price for the existing affordable locations, such as Virar, Dombivali, Vasai etc., the demand for budget housing in Thane is shifting to nearby localities such as Palghar and Shahapur.
Palghar, located 90 km from Mumbai is a well-developed locality with all the social infrastructure developments like schools, hospitals, colleges, shopping malls, restaurants etc. The locality is easily accessible from the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway (NH8) and the connectivity has further improved with the start of first local railway line from Virar to Dahanu. The locality also enjoys good bus service and the recent start of the local train will definitely increase the property prices in the locality.

Poddar Developers have recently launched a cost efficient and premium quality township ‘Poddar Navjeevan’ in Shahapur. The township is divided into two phases, the cost of developing the first phase is 825 crore and it will provide the option for 1 Bhk and 2 Bhk units in the price range of Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 15 lakh.
Due to the fast infrastructure and real estate development, Palghar and Shahapur are all set to become the new affordable housing destinations in Thane. Buyers who are looking for a long-term investment can consider Shahpur and Palghar as an ideal investment option.
