The AP chapter of CREDAI formed after the bifurcation of the state
After the bifurcation of the state of Andhra Pradesh, everything was divided, or there are bodies which are newly formed for the new state. The newly-formed AP chapter of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) has urged its members to adhere to the National Building Code. They have also urged to cultivate a sense of self-discipline in implementation of various rules uniformly across the State.
AP Chairman K SubbaRaju mentioned that CREDAI will take up issues relating to vacant land tax, preparation of master plans and identification of commercial zones. They will also look into the incentives for affordable housing, a single taxation system and exemption for projects above 2,000 square yards.
Raju was talking to the media on Tuesday along with the President A. Siva Reddy. After the first management committee meeting of CREDAI, this press conference was addressed. Raju also mentioned that it was important that members of all 14 chapters of CREDAI stick to the confederation’s code of conduct and ensure transparency in business.
Raju also stated that in apportioning common areas, the norms of the National Building Code should be followed. He believes that it should be a win-win situation for all and the government, buyers and developers everyone’s interests should be safe guarded.
He also mentioned that the consumer redressal cells of CREDAI should try to amicably resolve disputes relating to construction, amenities, infrastructure and payment schedules.
