The Corporations Courts are working towards clearing all building plans which are pending
The city corporations have finally come to a conclusion that they will clear all the files which were pending for quite some time at its office. There will be adalats organized by the civic body in order to ensure that there is quick disposal of all the pending plans.
Currently, one citizen will have to wait for about six months minimum just to know whether the building plan they had submitted has been rejected or approved of. The lack of cooperation and co-ordination has led to the delay in approving and rejecting of plans. There are going to be adalats organized in seven adalats by the civic body so that all the corporation wards have been covered.
The first four will take up 55 wards and the left three will cover the collected village panchayats of Cheruvannur-Nallallam, Beypore and Elathur. The adalats will last from two weeks, starting from last week of June to first week of July.
The Corporation authorities have also mentioned that at the moment there are about 2,500 building plans which are still pending. The officials have been asked by the authorities to prepare a list of all the plans that have been pending in every sector for quick approval. The civic body also hopes that effective mechanism will be used in order to clear all the pending building plans.
