No Comments Sub Category:Realty News Posted On: Jul 21, 2014

The flourish of Velachery will be receiving a major boost in infrastructure this year along with the highways department as they are planning to start the work on three newly elevated roads and a skywalk in a locality that is being expected to soon become one of the busiest city hubs. The new elevated roads will help in controlling the traffic rise in Velachery.

One of the elevated roads in Velachery will be coming up in the Velachery main road. The highway department will build another elevated road which will come up near Medavakkam. The first elevated road will start on the Raj Bhavan side which is on the Velachery Main Road, across the Phoenix Mall. The road will descend after the Velachery Bypass Road junction. The work of the development of the proposed elevated roads will commence very soon and hopefully end by the next year.

The length of the new elevated road will be around 1.2 km and it will cost the government around Rs 400 crore as a high portion of land acquisition is necessary as confirmed by a highways department official. The officials in the department of highways are looking forward to pace the start up phase of construction.
