Traffic woes to reduce on NH 24 for the commuters travelling between Noida and Ghaziabad

No Comments Sub Category:Delhi-NCR,Realty News Posted On: Sep 12, 2014

On Monday, the Noida authority stated that it is considering a proposal to build an 800-metre-long elevated road to ensure seamless connectivity for commuters travelling between Noida and Ghaziabad. This elevated road is proposed to be built above Chhijarsi village and Chhijarsi Crossing along the National Highway-24.

This stretch witnesses massive bottlenecks in traffic especially during peak hours daily. The traffic movement from Noida to NH-24 via sector 62 is soon going to be streamlined as the Noida Authority has planned to develop signal-free intersections where link roads meet the busy highway.

The three junctions that connect Noida with the highway would be developed. The Authority has floated an expression of interest inviting bids from technical and architectural consultants for the development of these junctions.

The places where the Authority plans to develop signal-free intersections are at the T-junctions of sector 62 with NH-24 near Khoda, near Model Town Police Chowk and the junction of Chhijarsi village near Hindonriver.

The chief project engineer of Noida Authority, Santram Singh stated that given the high movement of traffic between Noida and Ghaziabad through the intersections with NH-24, it is necessary to develop these in such a manner to ensure seamless flow of vehicles. The team of Noida Authority is preparing a conceptual plan for development of these junctions. Consultants have been invited for presentations on feasible plans at these junctions which might be in the form of flyovers, underpasses, etc.
