Transfer of government land for other use and Bottlenecks to be removed soon: N Baijendra Kumar
N Baijendra Kumar the Principal Secretary with the department of commerce and industry mentioned that the state government is trying to amend the policy as there are many complications in the transfer of government land for other use. The Chhattisgarh government is trying to ease this and is working on a proposal to amend the policy designed for transferring land for the use of public and private enterprises in the state.
He mentioned about this in a conclave of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on Thursday. He also mentioned that because of the complications, even government to government land transfer had become difficult and if these issues are not resolved, then the growth for the country cannot be expedited.
Kumar, who is also the Chairman of Naya Raipur Development Authority, stated that they have been demanding land for the Naya Raipur (the new capital city of Chhattisgarh) and Kamal Vihar (an upcoming model township) but have failed to procure it.
The officials are scared to ink the allotment of land to the industry as there are controversies spilling out over landallocation especially to the industries. The relaxation in the norms and policy for land allocation and transfer of land would help in overcoming from such reservations and the industries will prosper pushing the GDP on an upward trajectory.
