TRS’ emotional decisions may throw Andhra business interests into disarray

No Comments Sub Category:Real estate trends,Realty News Posted On: Jul 03, 2014

Telangana state’s ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has allowed emotion to cloud its business sense. People believe that the administration may have taken decisions aimed at hurting the business interests of some corporates.

Two recent decisions bear testimony to this – The government has asked L&T to alter the alignment of the Hyderabad metro rail project, and is trying to retrieve land bought by Lanco group through government organised global-competitive bidding.

Both L&T and Lanco are exploring their legal options.

Telangana IT and Panchayat Raj Minister Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao has said that the government is hoping for zero political corruption. However, there is widespread panic among Andhra Pradesh’s business investors, especially with regard to real estate, irrigation, construction and infrastructure, over all of which the government has a wide sway.
