U.P in the growth bandwagon
Manoj Singh the Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation was addressing the crowd at CII’s (The Confederation of Indian Industry) ‘Invest North 2014’ summit on Thursday. During that he mentioned a few plans for the state. Singh mentioned that the industries coming up in Uttar Pradesh are expected to change the landscape of the State.
Singh also announced that the plastic city near Auriya set to be inaugurated in September. The Trans Ganga project, Tronica City in Ghaziabad, Kanpur-Unnao modern industrial project and the mega leather cluster in Kanpur will change the landscape of the State. His government has many plans for the state and is all set to harness the natural resources and manpower in the area and provide jobs to the youth.
Emphasising the opportunities expected to usher in with the commissioning of the DMIC and EDFC, Singh stated that truly ‘’acche din aane wale hain’’. The Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) will be inaugurated soon and 60 % of which will pass through Uttar Pradesh.
2,800 hectares of land along the DMIC and area within 5 km radius of each of the 43 stations along the EDFC will be developed as Industrial zones. Singh was part of the delegation that showcased Uttar Pradesh’s industry potential at the event. Singh mentioned that the state is naturally rich with resources and if the government can trap these natural resources, then the state can progress a lot.
