The fact behind this is that, the real estate property prices have been rising rapidly leaving its buyers in the dilemma. And here is a bad news for the non-residents of Goa, the tax department is on high alert to have a thorough check on the un-occupied buildings.  These building owners are sure to bare a heavy tax burden from the department only those who have not paid the taxes for the year 2011.

An expert from the State Level Steering Committee (SLSC) reported over the same issue saying that the collection of the taxes from these houses in the Goa state has no sign of bearing fruits for the state’s revenue. It has also been traced that the non-goans who own property in the state, seem to be occupying the house hardly once in a year especially during the celebrations of New Year.
