UPA Government’s MGNREGA and Land Acquisition Acts will continue
It looks like that the Modi govt. is truly in favour of developing the nation. That’s why they want to continue with UPA government’s well accepted Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and Land Acquisition acts will continue under Modi’s leadership. The new Minister of Rural Development, Gopinath Munde took charge of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water and Sanitation departments on May 27th Tuesday.
Land Acquisition Act
While taking to the reporters he mentioned that the industry organisations might not appreciate the Land Acquisition Acts, however their Govt will implement the Land Acquisition Bill rigorously. His party and he firmly believe that the farmers should get the market price for their land acquired for industries and other development purposes and their interests should be safeguarded before that of the industrialists’. He mentioned that they will keep their promise which they had made before the elections and will support the bill in its present form.
Sanitation
He also mentioned that during the campaigning of Modi ji, they realised that sanitation was a big problem in our country and they need to take it head on.
Rural Job Scheme
The present government believes that the rural job scheme will develop the villages. The educated youth of the villages instead of flocking to the cities will use their skills and expertise to develop the infrastructure of their own villages.
