Urban property owner cards soon to be issued in Bangalore
Urban property owner cards to be issued to property owners instead of ‘Khata’ under an agreement between Bangalore and Urban Property Ownership Records (UPOR) are just three months away.
The project for the state capital has already been cleared by the state cabinet.
The project has already been taken up on a pilot basis in Mangalore, Bellary, Mysore, Hubli-Dharwad and Shimoga on PPP model.
V Ponnuraj, commissioner of the land records department said that Karnataka could become the first state in the country where property cards will replace khata.
